Eric's Widgets

These widgets are free for the taking. Hope you find them handy!

TimeCalc, version 1

This widget is for adding up a series of time values in hours and minutes. The widget gives space for 8 time values, but there is a "More" button that loads the total so far and allows for 7 more values, so there is no limit. Handy for figuring out CD run times and the like.

This version has been superseded by version 3 below, but I keep version 1 here for those who like to see the list of time values.

TimeCalc, version 3

This version of TimeCalc is expanded to include SMPTE time codes, hours/minutes/seconds, and a subtract function. The calculator operates in 5 modes:

Each mode shows only what is relevant:

SMPTE subframes are computed at 80 subframes to the frame. SMPTE frames rates can be any of 4:

When set at 29.97 fps, the calculator takes into account drop frames. Drop frame SMPTE timecode drops frame numbers 0 and 1 of the first second of every minute, and includes them when the number of minutes is divisible by ten.

HexColor

This one is kind of specific. I have a reference book of color combinations (Jim Krause's Color Index) which I use to help figure web page color schemes (I am color-deficient, so I need all the help I can get). It specifies the colors as RGB values in decimal, and so I am constantly having to convert to hex. This widget does the conversion quickly and easily.

I built this one for Tina; a basic kitchen timer with a special alarm.
